About CGMI

Clackmannanshire Green Map Initiative (CGMI) is working in Clackmannanshire, creating a positive image through positive action "Tokyo, New York...Sauchie, how going green puts Sauchie on the map!" (The Herald). Our activities are primarily in relation to open space (environment), access, sustainability and community safety. The CGMI project works in partnership with community and voluntary groups as well as the local authority and other public agencies to create a positive image of Clackmannanshire through the following process: Learn (Discover and learn about what exists) Reflect (Plan through dialogue and sharing expertise what needs to be done) Act (working in partnership to make action at a local level for positive change in our communities) This process is one way of Clackmannanshire enabling the Community Planning process to happen at a local level. The Clackmannanshire Open Green Map and the Green Map are exciting opportunities to "map the things that make life worthwhile". As a direct result of our recent survey the CGMI project is now developing the Clackmannanshire Environmental Network, enabling groups to get together share skills, experiences and offer mutual support.
